Happy Monday, everyone! Today I am going to be praying that we take advantage of this time to slow down, reflect, enjoy the little things, and find contentment. Often, we take all of these things for granted, and hopefully through this "pause" in (many of) our lives, we can come out a stronger prayer warrior, believer, and witness for Christ.
Dear God,
Thank you so much for this day that You have made. I am so thankful to have another day to enjoy and be in your presence. Despite the troubles our world is facing right now, I pray that we would take time to truly enjoy the "little things" in life, that are actually quite large. May we stop to feel the sunshine on our face today, take time to call a friend or a relative that we haven't talked to in a while, spend extra time reading Your Word, or any task or activity that makes us feel alive and close to You. These troublesome times will end, You have promised us that. So while we are supposed to stay at home, help us to make the most of our time and to slow our lives back down (not only now, but work on slowing down when they return to "normal"). Help us as we go through these uncertain days. Help us to realize that our problems, in comparison to what they could be, are really quite small. Please help us to return to You, things that matter to You, and your love. Thank You for being bigger than any obstacle we face. Forgive us where we have failed you, and help us to show Your love.
Amen.
