During the month of November, we will be posting a quick Thankfulness post each day. We did a similar series back in April. Thanksgiving is coming up, Covid is still active, many changes have come about during this time, but we still have plenty to be thankful for.
1 Timothy 2:1
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people.
In my Bible app, this passage is preceded by the title "Instructions on Worship". Thanksgiving is included in our instructions from God to worship Him. The passage goes on to say that "we may live peaceful and quiet lives" and this "pleases God our Savior who wants all people to be saved..." Wouldn't we love to live peaceful and quiet lives right now with everything going on in our nation, and the world? It's best to pray and thank God for what He's done and what He will do for us.
